Book Bundles
Many of the children we serve don't have home libraries or easy access to a public library. While establishing high-quality school libraries is the foundation of our mission, we also encourage families to start home libraries through our Book Bundle program. We want to ensure children have always have access to the comfort and escape of a good book —even when school isn't in session.
Access Books distributes approximately 90,000 books annually to children living in "book deserts." We typically hold three major distributions a year to coincide with winter, spring, and summer school closures. In addition to partnering with schools, we also work with community health centers, foster care programs, and more.
All of our book bundles are curated with popular, high-interest titles selected to stoke excitement about reading. While we know these books will help students become better readers, they're also an invitation. We want all children to join our community of readers where fun, pleasure, and adventure await.
